Hiding Emotions

Have you ever wondered why you never express your feelings? I do constantly. There's always an emotion I feel I can't share because it might either hurt someone or bring them joy. The truth is, I conceal the feelings that could cause pain, even though they're what I truly feel. I just smile and endure it, fearing the consequences of speaking out. Often, I feel isolated in my thoughts because the person I need to be honest with is the one I don't want to hurt or cause heartbreak. I feel trapped for various reasons, none of which are valid when it comes to prioritizing myself. The most ironic part? I love helping others, being their safe space, sounding board, and offering advice, yet I can't do the same for myself. How ironic is that?

I'm certain I'm not the only woman who feels this way. Many of us feel overwhelmed and ignored regarding our emotions. We've confined ourselves to a small space that the world expects to see, rather than being our true selves. Does this resonate with you? I believe women share more in common than we realize, often connecting on a deep, unspoken level. There are two people in the world with whom I share my entire heart, and I can't imagine my life without them. If anyone knows my deepest secrets, it's them. I hope you also have someone, or perhaps a few people, like that in your life. Honestly, my two best friends, my soul sisters, know things I've never shared with my husband. Those are the friends I wish for you, too. You deserve that. You DESERVE to have such people in your life.

How does this relate to how you might be feeling right now? You are beautiful. Don't forget it. Not ever.

With Love,

June
